IIS UGM has several program activities that are open to the general public, namely:
Annual Convention of the Global South (GOSOUTH)
Annual Convention of the Global South started back in 2019, and aim to bring insights on the studies of International Relations from the perspective of Global South.
To date, IIS UGM has successfuly organized 4 GOSOUTH conventions
Cangkir Teh
As the name implies, which stands for “Berbincang dan Berpikir Tentang HI ” Cangkir Teh is a monthly discussion forum, where IIS UGM invites lecturers, academics, students and others to discuss various topics related to IR.
To date, IIS UGM has successfully organized more than 10 Cangkir Teh Discussion
Beyond The Great Wall
Beyond The Great Wall is a bi-monthly discussion where IIS UGM invites lecturers, academics, students and others to discuss various aspects of contemporary Chinese politics that are open to the public.
To date, the BTGW forum has entered its third year, and IIS UGM has successfully organized 24 BTGW discussion
IIS Strategic Talk
Merged from 3 “Talk” (Humanitarian, Climate and Globalization Talk) IIS Strategic Talk is a discussion series that aim to discuss various specific issues in IR (nuclear weapons, killer robots, globalization, climate change and so on) in depth and analytically.
To date, IIS UGM has successfully organized several IIS Strategic Talks discussion.
STAIR Community
STAIR (Sciences Technology and Arts in International Relations) is a new IIS UGM epistemic community program that focuses on the interrelationships of science, technology, and art in the study of International Relations.
