Research under the cluster of International Political Economy and Development studies various ways of how political actors, institutions, and processes shape the system in which economic interactions take place, and conversely how economic actors, institutions, and processes influence the political structure and outcome. In studying this relationship, research is oriented toward exploring issues, concepts, and theories in the realms of international development and cooperation, global political economy, politics of trade and finance, business diplomacy, and global value chain.
