Dr. Luqman-nul Hakim is a director at the Institute of International Studies (IIS) and a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. He obtained his PhD in Asian Studies from the Asia Institute, the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on conflict studies, development-security-democracy nexus. His latest book “Islamism and the Quest for Hegemony in Indonesia” was published by Palgrave Macmillan in March 2023.
